Protect my account (login code, trusted devices)

In « Sécurité du compte » (Account security), verify your email, strengthen your password and turn on a code requested at login.

The Sécurité du compte (Account security) page shows your protection level, from 0 to 3: one point for a verified email, one for a strong password, one for the confirmation code at login.

  1. Open Sécurité du compte (Account security).
  2. Verify your email: click « Vérifier mon email » (Verify my email), then enter the code you receive in your inbox.
  3. Password: if the page says it is too simple, click « Changer mon mot de passe » (Change my password).
  4. Confirmation code at login: choose to receive the code by email or WhatsApp, then click « Activer » (Turn on). A code is sent to you right away: enter it to finish turning it on.
  5. From then on, each time you log in from a new device, a 6-digit code is requested after your password.

Special cases

Why can't I choose WhatsApp?
You first need to verify your WhatsApp number. Use the « Vérifier mon numéro WhatsApp » (Verify my WhatsApp number) link on the page, then come back to choose this channel.
How long is the code valid?
10 minutes, and 5 attempts at most. You can request a new code after a minute with « Renvoyer » (Resend).
I don't receive the code.
Use « Code non reçu ? » (Code not received?) on the code page: you can resend it or switch to the other channel. As a last resort, sending by SMS is offered.
What is a trusted device?
When you confirm a code with the « Ne plus demander de code sur cet appareil » (Don't ask for a code on this device again) box left checked, this phone or computer won't ask you for a code again for 30 days.
I lost my phone or I logged in at someone else's place.
In Sécurité du compte (Account security), click « Oublier tous ces appareils » (Forget all these devices): a code will be requested everywhere again at the next login. Also change your password.
Can I turn off the code?
Yes, for a buyer account it's your choice: « Désactiver » (Turn off) button. For organizer accounts, it is mandatory.
